For Volunteers
Volunteering is well established in the UK. Everyone has the right to volunteer. Volunteers can be any age and from any background. They can be studying, working or retired. The Tower Stories takes the roles of volunteers very seriously and without their help it couldn’t survive!
Just some of the opportunities Tower Story volunteers have include:
- supporting or running events
- undertaking historical research
- giving tower tours
- giving advice, guidance or information
- giving marketing support
- monitoring and conserving wildlife
- giving first aid
- driving or transporting people
- providing administrative support.
Every volunteer has their own reasons for volunteering. These may include:
- getting experience to get into work or change career
- supporting a cause that’s meaningful to them
- meeting other people
- contributing to the local community
- changing something for the better
- using their skills or experience to help others
- doing something completely different or new
- learning new skills
- continuing their professional development.
